Call for Submissions: Art and Art History Students

The Studio Show Part 2: STUDENT-E-O’s

Submission Deadline: February 28th, 2011

Description: The follow up to the smash hit “The Faculty Studio Show”

Show Date: 7th March till 11th March, with an opening reception on 7th March, 5.00pm till 6.00pm

What does your studio look like? Is it a room, a cubicle, a travelling suitcase, a van, an outhouse, a camera? What?  Please submit a representation of your studio, whether it is an actual likeness, an abstract representation, an object: it can literally be anything.

We welcome work in all mediums: Sculpture, Print, Photography, Drawing, Painting, Design, Video/Sound work and Performance (yes, that’s right, you can perform your studio).

Please send an email to ryan.lord@utoronto.ca by the 28th of February if you are interested in participating in the show.  Please include you name and the medium your ‘studio’ will be presented in.  Work will need to be delivered by the 3rd of March.  Details about drop off area for work to follow soon!

About poolman
David Poolman was born in Wallaceburg, Ontario. He is an MFA graduate from the University of Windsor, and a graduate of the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. Working in drawing, video, print media, and installation, Poolman has exhibited in art galleries and screened in festivals both nationally and internationally. Poolman currently lives in Toronto and is a professor of Drawing at Sheridan Institute.
